Not meaning to sound rude but do people really believe that Massa would be a good champion?

Don't get me wrong, I don't feel that Hamilton is a worthy champion this year. He only won by virtue of having a good car and poor opposition in the other good car which brings me to my point.

Ferrari clearly have had the fastest car this season. Ferrari's 13 fastest laps this season speaks volumes. So, if a driver can't capitalise on such an advantage then does he truly deserve to be considered a champion?|||Neither driver is hardly legend material at the moment(gulp).

BUT Massa has upped his game a heck of a lot this year, could you of seen him challenging for a title in 2002-2006? Massa has made less serious driver errors, I count 5 to Hammys 8.

Yes Ferrari should of won the title considering the car but I think its more of a Ferrari management rather than Ferrari driver issue.

It was a fantastically close season, helped by Alonso, Kubica%26amp; Vettel kicking average cars up there.|||How many races did he win compared to Hamilton??|||I agree that the Ferrari was the faster car but Ferrari gave some races away with unreliability and pit stop errors. Thats racing. Thats sport. Oh well, i'm disappointed but what a race and what a season. I cant wait til March.|||Linzi, consistency is key, KEKE ROSBERG won one race in a sesaon and was champion.

Spa penalty anyone, would have swung it 6-5 in hamiltons favour, and plus, he wasnt racing for the win in Brazil. so he could have also won in brazil if he wanted (: |||Absolutely. The way he raced this weekend was one for the books. Just compare his performance yesterday against his rivals. He was on a complete different level.

On the other hand he was definitely helped by many FIA decisions during the year, but that is not his fault. In the end, his poor start of the season was costly and many personal and team mistakes, but he ended the season in tremendous fashion.

Hamilton is definitely a worthy Champion. He did it in his second season, and he is 23 years old. He did it against a very strong team with good drivers and with almost no help. (How many times did Heikki outraced his Ferrari rivals?). Also he did it with a lot of FIA stewards decisions biased against him. For me Massa can not be considered the winner of Spa, he came half a minute later. If we look at F1 history we麓ll find out that almost every Champion had some difficulties, controversies, undeserving points, and undeserving lack of points during his championship years, so it麓s no different from any other champ.

Having the fastest car is not enough to be Champion, that麓s why they race and that麓s why they have rules. With those rules Lewis is the Champion, and that麓s it. |||I agree with you but of the two, I think Lewis is the more deserving champion. He's made less mistakes, he's overcome those silly penalties given to him whereas Massa spun himself out of the first two races, got gifted a point by the FIA and has been in the sport longer than Hamilton. There is no excuse for the Ferrari driver not to have won the title this year. |||Massa won one more than Hamilton counting with Interlagos

Ferrari did bad this year...not Felipe, the mistakes was of Ferrari!! not his!... he was pretty good!|||I like Massa but I don't find him as convincing a champion as Hamilton.|||Massa SHOULD have won this year. I really wanted him to, it would down to the team's idiotesy with the light system in the pitlane that lost it for massa and it sadens me =(
