The "NBA" does not equal the "world". I think we should have a 6-team playoff every year to determine the real world champion. The two teams with the best records can get first round byes. We should have the NBA champion, the NCAA men's champion, the WNBA champion, the NCAA women's champion, the Euro League champion, and Australia's National Basketball League champion duking it out to get the title of the real world champion. Until then, the NBA champion is just that -- the NBA champion.
