What does the website mean by 'champion sired?'?

I am on this dog website. Here is an example:

Champion bloodlines: Yes

Champion sired: No

Show potential: Yes

What does that mean? For show potential are they saying that they are good show dogs. I know what champion bloodlines means, but not sure about champion sired?|||In the case of the dog you are looking at, it's probably a sham.

Champion bloodlines means that some dog in the puppy's pedigree is a champion. (these championships could be on either the mother's or the father's side)

Champion sired means that the father of the litter has a championship title. (it says nothing about the titles of any dog but the father)

Show potential could mean absolutely nothing if the breeder doesn't know what they're talking about. Any idiot can check the "show potential" button on some website. I know lots of people who have bred pet quality dogs and say "well, if somebody wanted to show them I'm sure they could get a title" - WRONG! You need to see titles on the parents to know if there's even a chance you're getting a show quality puppy. Pet quality dogs almost never produce show quality puppies.

Essentially, what that add says is that the "breeder" is breeding dogs based on somebody else's championships and very likely doesn't even bother to show themselves. It's possible they are a good breeder, but very unlikely.

I would not recommend that website for finding a truly well bred dog. You're much better off going to shows to talk to people who breed the dogs you looking for or finding individual websites of breeders.|||It means that the litter of pups does NOT have a champion father. (The sire is the father of the litter) If the litter is NOT Champion sired, and the Dam (Mother) is not a Champion, the litter has NO potential of being show quality. What you are talking about is just a big selling plow to make you think they are selling quality dogs. They're NOT!

Add: What the first poster said is incorrect. The father is NOT a champion.|||Champion bloodlines: What this all means is that that these dogs have dogs(parents, grandparents etc) within their pedigree (family tree) who have won numerous times (Earning them a certain number of points) in a Kennel Club Conformation competition. (Example: to gain a American Kennel Club Championship a dog must earn 15 points) and are proven to be an exceptional representation of the breed standard.

Champion sired: Means the that the father (sometimes it may also mean the mother 'Dam') has gained the appropriate number of points to earn his Championship

Show potential: Means that there is the possibility that these pups will be eligible/allowed to compete in Conformation events..|||Since it says that the dog has champion bloodlines, but is not champion sired, this means that the champion bloodlines come from the mother's side, not the father's.|||It means the father is a champion in show.
