Why did the womens world champion in soccer lose to a bunch of boys?

In 2003, the Women's Soccer World Champion (Germany) lost to the Germany under-16 boys team.

That shows how bad women are at sports and cant even beat teenage boys. Women would probably have a hard time beating grammar school boys.|||You are talking about 2003, that was 7 years ago. Chances are the team has probably gotten better since then. Girls can play just as well as the guys, but girls playing against girls is a totally different thing than men vs. men. Men play at a much faster pace, women play slower against other women. The womens game is very physical and is more start/stop. The mens game is very fluid, but has more brutal tackling and such. When I played soccer, I played on the guys club team, and we went to west coast regionals. I scored 1/3 of all the goals and had most of the assists. If women were given a chance to play with men, we would be able to prove that we are as good as the guys.

They should play with the men, but they are almost never given the opportunity. If my high school team could beat the freshmen boys team, then I am pretty sure that a professional womens team can beat "grammar" school boys|||That's extremely ignorant.

Apparently they did something right since they are World Champions!|||I coached a mixed (boys and girls) team of under 12's (after this age, they are segragated) and the girls were equally valuable to the boys. The team went on to win the competition that year as undefeated premiers (they never lost a game all season), but they would never have done it without the girls (or the boys) - it was an excellent example of team play, with no distinction between the sexes and total commitment to the team, regardless of the gender make-up of the side.

Well done Sarina Saints U12's !!
