Actually, he would have been World Heavyweight Champion now if it was not for the screwjob decision in his fight with Nikolai Valuev in 2008. It was obvious that Holyfield won that fight, he was robbed. Screw Russia.|||He did beat Valuev, you're right about that. I wish he had gotten that decision and then decided to retire on top. Now I feel like his career is going to end on a very bad note sometime.
Wladimir Klitschko should beat Haye and then he will hold three of the titles, with his brother having the WBC belt. Holyfield can't beat either one of them at this point in his career, although I have no doubt he would be brave enough to try.
The only way I can ever see Holyfield holding a legitimate title again would be if Vitali Klitschko retired and Holyfield was one of the guys matched up for the vacant title. This is unlikely, but not impossible. I think the only reason Vitali keeps boxing is that the Klitschkos decided years ago that they wouldn't retire until they held all the belts between them. We should get to that point come July 2.|||Father Time has caught up with Evander. There is no chance he will be a world champion again.
He needs to stop fighting before he ends up permanently damaged and requires someone to feed, and change him.
Boxing is a serious and dangerous business, and there are lots of people who fought too long and ended up dead or damaged for life.|||I'm a fan too but let's face it, he's no longer the same "Warrior" we used to admire. Age has caught up with him and he no longer has it. And he's risking permanent injury by fighting any of the champions today. Sure, he would've whupped the Klitschkos and David Haye in his prime or even 10 years ago, but not now.|||I respect what Holyfield has done for the sport of boxing and he was one the great warriors in the ring in his prime, but right now I don't think he become the undisputed champ again because I think age is slowly catching up with him and personally I don't think he's got a shot of winning against the Klitschko brothers, he might have a chance against Haye but he's not the same fighter who beat Mike Tyson and Riddick Bowe in his prime|||i love Evander, but he's done. he's more of a danger to himself than his opponents. he may snag a worthless belt from a nobody or a fighter more shot than him, but i don't see him winning any major titles. Jordan has a better chance of winning six more NBA Championships.|||holyfield is punch drunk forget it its sad but true we need a prime holyfield type to clean the bums out of the div and put the klitskos out of boxing but not possible and the HW is all bums now klitskos included
